New Pinterest

Anna's Phantasmagorical Outdoor Play Pins!

The more I do this blog the more AMAZING things I see (and want). Things that I either can't possibly afford or that don't have enough information available to write about. But I don't want these great outdoor play sets to go to waste so I've started putting together a Pinterest Board.

Wendy houses, sandboxes, DIY projects, treehouses, and other fantastic things your little ones would absolutely love!

Car Themed Play Tents Reviewed

Feel The Need, The Need for Fun!

I amuse myself far too much with these blogs. My little collection today is of Car Themed Play Tents. Cars are a fascinating thing that many of us take for granted. While a child sees this machine of great potential that could probably ride along the walls, most of us only see an ageing Citroen with a painful insurance policy.

With these wonderful tents your little one can go on an adventure across the world. Which is a great opportunity to teach them geography. Just bust out a map of the world, or get google maps up on your phone and tell them about where they are driving and what sort of awesome things they can see.

Castle Play Tents

Princes and Princesses

I've always had a disliking of gendered toys and the ridiculous idea that certain toys are not for boys or girls. Please, if your little boy likes dolls, nurture that instinct. If your daughter likes toy guns or football then don't teach her it is "tomboyish". It is so important that our little ones learn to be the best possible versions of themselves and if we close doors for them this early on they might never fulfil that potential!

I apologise for the rant but it is a subject that is very important to me and one that I noticed more than usual when looking up these play tents. Princesses live in pretty pink castles and boys get to play knight in their (in my opinion, better looking) castles. Ask most people and they will tell you that "only men were knights" but that's not even true. It was rare admittedly but women were admitted to the rank of knight in various European countries.

With that in mind I have found a bunch of fantastic looking play tents for boys and girls! Whether they be princes or princesses, knights or time travellers these castles will provide the perfect environment for their burgeoning imaginations.

The Wildebeest Playset

The Playset To End All Playsets

My last few blogs have been about Dunster house playsets, sandboxes, and dens so I'm sure you can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon something that has all these things! The Plum Products Wildebeest Play Centre; a gargantuan playset that features everything but the kitchen sink!

Dunster House Play Sets

Every Monkey Needs A Fort

While looking around Amazon for wendy houses I came across several companies selling wonderful looking play set forts and Dunster houses. Annoyingly though these rather expensive fortresses have very few reviews and even fewer real photographs! So annoying!

I thought they looked great and wanted to know more so I looked around the web and got as much information on 3 of these amazing play sets as I could! We're talking slides, swings, monkey bars, climbing walls, and dens!
Unfortunately the company that produces these sets only ships to England and Wales so bad luck Scots. Perhaps check out my post about Den Kits and enjoy the great outdoors instead!
I like to do one cheap-ish set, one medium set, and one widly expensive set just because... well just because I like seeing a range of things and always want the biggest one!

Plastic Fantastic Wendy Houses - discussing their benefits to you!

A quick list of the cutest plastic wendy playhouses

Sometimes a great big wooden wendy house is just more time and money than you've got and cardboard box style playhouses won't do for your kids. So that's where plastic wendy houses come in. They're cheap, colourful, usually playfully shaped and easy to assemble and sometimes incorporate your children's' favourite characters and themes to boot.

I'm going to look at several of the top seller wendy houses on Amazon and reveal their good and bad points, discuss the benefits of plastic wendy houses and why your kids might just love them more than you thought.

Children's Sandboxes

Budget Beaches For Britain's Bairns!

One of the greatest and most iconic children's outdoor toys is of course the sandbox. Sandboxes let little ones create sandcastles and rivers, explore with buckets and spades, and destroy it all at the end. However finding the right sandbox can be difficult. Don't worry though I've selected a few sandboxes that I think will fit most gardens (and budgets!)

Wooden Wendy Houses - Woodn't You Love One?

Only The Biggest Will Do!

There are so many wendy houses available that it can be daunting to choose the right one. Especially if you want a large one. With the cost of some of these houses on the uncomfortable side of £500 you want to make sure you get the right one. Don't despair though, for today's post I've collected some of the best looking wooden wendy houses that are at least 7x5 feet!

Outdoor Adventures - Dens and Games

Indiana Jones and The Back Garden of Doom!

With the rain going back to Spain its time for us to reclaim the back garden, get the patio swept, and get back outside. And what does outside mean to the little ones? Dens! So to make their den building funner (and safer!) I've looked around and found a couple of kits and games that should prove a hit!

Spring Time - Time For Trolls!

Outdoor Troll Toys

As Spring time finally rolls around the kids can start playing outside again, peace at last! It also seems Frozen is finally being forgotten in favour of Trolls.

To celebrate I've collected my favourite outdoor Trolls toys to ensure Let It Go never plays again!

Play forts with slides - wendy houses with added excellence!

Wendy houses and play forts with slides

Slides are great fun for kids and climbing is a natural pushing of boundaries as kids challenge themselves to go outside their comfort zone. So why not look into wendy houses that combine some of these fun things together with play forts and slides!
